Emily is a Connecticut-based writer, editor, and writing instructor.
Her love of romance began when she was an angsty, tortured teenager, but now she prefers stories with a HEA. After a few false starts, her first novel, a Victorian historical romance called The Price of Desire, was named a 2017 finalist in the Romance Writers of America's prestigious Golden Heart® competition.
Her fiction and non-fiction has also been featured in a variety of print and online publications including The Southampton Review, The Toast, The Frisky, and The Hartford Courant. Emily earned her BA in English from The University of Connecticut and her MA from The University of Massachusetts Boston.
When she isn't writing or reading romance, she enjoys planning fantasy trips abroad, watching every costume drama on Netflix, and working her way through Book 2 of Faber and Faber's (not sexy) Adult Piano Adventures.
