Emily is a New England-based writer and college level writing instructor.

Her love of romance began when she was an angsty, tortured teenager, but now she prefers stories with a HEA. After a few (or more) false starts, her first novel, a Victorian historical romance called The Price of Desire, was named a 2017 finalist in the Romance Writers of America's prestigious Golden Heart® competition. Her second novel, another Victorian romance called The Irishman, was the 2018 Emily winner in historical fiction and placed first in the Historical category in the 2018 Catherine contest.

Her fiction and non-fiction has also been featured in a variety of print and online publications including The Southampton Review, The Toast, The Frisky, and The Hartford Courant. Emily earned her BA in English from The University of Connecticut and her MA from The University of Massachusetts Boston.

When she isn't writing or reading romance, she enjoys planning fantasy trips abroad, watching every costume drama on Netflix, and working her way through Faber and Faber's Adult Piano Adventures, which is not as racy as it sounds.

You can find her procrastinating on Twitter and Pinterest. Come say hi!
