Emily is a New England-based writer, editor, and writing instructor.

Her love of romance began when she was an angsty, tortured teenager, but now she prefers stories with a HEA. After a few false starts, her first novel, a Victorian historical romance called The Price of Desire, was named a 2017 finalist in the Romance Writers of America's prestigious Golden Heart® competition. Her second novel, another late Victorian romance called The Irishman, is a 2018 Emily finalist.

Her fiction and non-fiction has also been featured in a variety of print and online publications including The Southampton Review, The Toast, The Frisky, and The Hartford Courant. Emily earned her BA in English from The University of Connecticut and her MA from The University of Massachusetts Boston.

When she isn't writing or reading romance, she enjoys planning fantasy trips abroad, watching every costume drama on Netflix, and working her way through the Faber and Faber's Adult Piano Adventures, which is less exciting than the title indicates.

You can find her procrastinating on Twitter, and Pinterest.
